FreeAppADay for 09/03/10: Pizza Shop Mania

iPhone, Mobile

Today’s free iPhone app at FreeAppADay.com is Pizza Shop Mania, from Digital Chocolate.

The game can be compared to the likes of Diner Dash and Cake Mania, and places you in the role of the owner of a new pizza and pasta shop. Like Cake Mania, customers will enter, and you have to tap on them to give them a menu. Their order appears as a thought bubble, and you’ll go to work fulfilling it, creating pasta and pizza.

You’ll be able to upgrade your store as you progress, to the point of having up to six different ovens and pasta machines – they’ll come in handy as you make your way through the 48 progressively more difficult levels.

Every so often, you’ll have to play a match-three mini-game that allows you to unlock specialty pastas. A phone in the restaurant will bring a delivery person to your pizzeria – you’ll need to have the order ready before they arrive. A coffee machine will boost your speed for a short amount of time, or otherwise, your character will become slower over time.

There is a display table in the center of your work area where you can store excess goods, and you’ll need to manually collect your profits by tapping on them on the counter after guests leave with their food.

If you’d like to try Pizza Shop Mania, make sure to download the game while it’s free today.
