FreeAppADay for 08/24/10: Golf Putt Pro

iPhone, Mobile

Today’s free iPhone app at FreeAppADay.com is Golf Putt Pro, from Neon Play.

The game is, as the name suggests, a golf putting simulator, with multiple different gameplay modes. The first is Three Lives, in which you have three chances to miss the putt before you lose. You’ll earn a score multiplier if you can manage to sink consecutive putts without missing. In the “In a Row” mode, you’re in a game of sudden death where you have to put as many consecutive balls as possible without missing in order to keep going.

Pro and Super Pro modes are the more difficult modes, as in Pro, the hole is placed in harder to spot and therefore reach locations, and you’ll have to judge you aim and tap the ball at exactly the right time in order to hit the putt (an arrow moves behind the ball – you’re just tapping the ball to set it into motion), and in Super Pro, the holes are in even trickier positions and the arrow moves even faster.

Finally, 18 Holes mode is a game for up to 4 players all using pass-and-play on the same device. You’ll run through 18 holes, and whoever has the best score at the end is the winner.

The game allows for you to unlock over 25 achievements, and contains leaderboards for the top 100 players in the world for three of the gameplay modes.

Make sure to download Golf Putt Pro while the game is free today.
