iPhone, Mobile

Today’s free iPhone app at FreeAppADay.com is Streetball, from Battery Acid Games.

The game allows you to play four different games of basketball, including a five-minute two-on-two traditional game of basketball, a “first to 21 points” mode, and H.O.R.S.E., the casual sports can we probably all can recall from our childhoods. There’s also a high score challenge that asks you to earn as many points as you can to test just how good you are on the court.

The game contains fourteen characters, each with different stats and strengths, and you can feel free to use those characters against opponents online via competitive multiplayer, or team up with a friend for co-op (multiplayer modes are available via Bluetooth or WiFi).

You’ll move about the court with the virtual analog stick, and can use two buttons in the lower right corner of the screen to pass or shoot the ball. When shooting, you’ll need to hold the shoot button to allow an accuracy meter to appear. You’ll hold it down and release at the precise moment of exact accuracy to complete the shot successfully.

For the game of H.O.R.S.E., you’ll compete against a computer player by tracing shapes with your finger so that you can duplicate the computer’s last shot and stay in the game.

Be sure to download Streetball while the game is free today.
