Today’s free iPhone app at FreeAppADay.com is Finger Physics, from TriplePoint client PressOK Entertainment.
The game contains 207 levels spread throughout 23 different stages and seven different gameplay modes. They, as a whole, ask you to build, destroy, or otherwise rearrange a group of geometric shapes, with a specific goal, like dropping an orb into a bucket, in mind (as one example).
As the name suggests, physics play a huge role in the game, as you must take gravity and force into account when placing or removing items. Gravity can help when trying to move the orb into the basket, but it might not be so good when you’re trying to build a tower and the blocks begin to topple like in a game of Jenga.
Some shapes may float, when a stage contains water, while other shapes sink. As another example, you may come across a piece that’s magnetized, forcing you to think a bit further ahead before making a move.
Finger Physics contains integration with various social networks, and OpenFeint integration allows for achievements and global leaderboards for the game’s free play levels.
Since release, Finger Physics has been updated 6 times, more than doubling the amount of levels available to play, with said updates being absolutely free of charge. Make sure to download the game while it’s free today, if you’d like to get in on the action.
