Today’s free iPhone app at FreeAppADay.com is British Military Fitness: My Fitness Instructor (phew, what a mouthful). As the name suggests, this app isn’t so much a game as it is a fitness device, which guides you through various workout routines with audio cues and spoken motivation.
You can set the parameters for what aspect of your health or body you’d like to work on, and then the app will choose an appropriate workout routine for you, so that you don’t have to choose from a long list of potential exercises and hope you’ve picked the right ones. Even if you continue to enter the exact same parameters, the app will pull from 5 million potential workout combinations to provide you with a different targeted workout each time you start it up.
The app contains mandatory warm-up and cool-down routines before each workout, and if you’re unfamiliar with any of the exercises therein, you can watch videos that demonstrate how they are done.
This definitely isn’t the only fitness app available on the iPhone, nor is it the first time a fitness app has been features as a free app, but if you missed the last one, or just want to try something new, make sure to download the app while it’s free today.
