iPhone, Mobile

Today’s free iPhone app at is iCut, the incredibly new puzzle game (it was released yesterday) from the folks at Grabarchuk Puzzles. The premise of iCut combines geometry and puzzle gameplay with 432 different puzzles that see one larger shape presented on the screen, and you’ll be challenged with separating the overall shape into congruent parts (that is, those that are the same size and shape).

Each puzzle has one unique solution, and you’ll be able to unlock 288 levels to reach the total of 432 as you go. Additionally, extra play packs are normally available to download for 99 cents, but for today only, you can receive these extra puzzle packs for free.

There are three different gameplay modes here that see you splitting shapes into four different groupings – either those containing just 2 parts, 3, 4 or 5 parts. If you get stuck, there is an in-game hint system to get help you progress, or you can skip a puzzle entirely. You’ll also be able to track your high score via the game’s high score system.

Make sure to download iCut while it’s free today, to take advantage of the free downloadable content as well.
