The game plays as a turn-based battle of sorts, that sees multiple characters on each team, with one character attacking while all others stand their ground. Then an opponent character attacks, and so on. There are health bars across the top of the screen, and it’s up to you to defeat your enemies before they can eliminate you.
As you go, you’ll unlock more of the game’s characters and up to nine battle arenas. You’ll also be able to master more than 70 skills and weapons as you fight other Brutes from all over the world. In an interesting twist, you’re only allowed to fight five opponents a day, but this doesn’t seem to be something that was thrown in just for today’s free version of the game.
My Brute supports OpenFeint and chatting with other players, as well as Facebook Connect which allows you to challenge your friends. You can even check your ranking on a worldwide leaderboard, or use your own music library as the soundtrack to the game.
