Today’s free app is Fingerzilla, a clever little title from Inert Soap that turns your finger into a virtual Godzilla, set loose upon towns where everything can be destroyed, humans included, with just a touch.
Trees can be set on fire, buildings can be tapped into burning piles of rubble, the town’s citizens can be squashed, helicopters can be swatted out of the air – it’s up to you. Each of the game’s levels is timed, with an overall challenge of causing as much mayhem and destruction (which is given a monetary value, based on losses incurred by the city; say, $144 for one building, or $208 for another, as examples) as possible within the time limit.
OpenFeint 2.4 support allows for in-game achievements based on repetition of tasks (like destroying an increasingly large number of buildings, or racking up a higher total damage cost), and for online leaderboards.
