99 cents can be such a drain on one’s finances, don’t you think? Perhaps not by itself, but when multiplied by the hundreds of thousands of apps available for one’s iPhone — especially the staggering number of award-winning and must-have apps one hears about on certain websites — it can start to sting. If you’ve ever wished more of these apps were free, ICS Mobile, Blacksmith Games, Aurora Feint, and TapJoy have got your back. In one week, on January 18th, the companies will officially launch FreeAppaDay.com, which will highlight one App Store selection per day, and reduce its price to a very wallet-friendly $0.00.
Though the participating companies all have plenty of their own apps to promote through FreeAppaDay, anybody’s app can be eligible. “The selection criteria for applications at FreeAppaDay.com will solely be based on quality,” claims the press release, and developers are encouraged to drop an application at Contact@FreeAppaDay.com.
Look for your free apps when the site launches on 1/18/10.
