In a study conducted by ComScore and Offerpal Media, 53% of social gamers would gladly accept virtual money in exchange for looking at a few ads rather than paying for it with real money. Something for next to nothing? I’ll take it.
The alternative forms of payment could include but are not limited to completing a free survey, watching a video, tagging a video, shopping for close or subscription services such as movie rental or magazines. These offers are viable for the game makers and players, each having a good incentive to do each. I suppose it helps that each of these options are free or next to free. I guess the only real opposition is time versus money and if any of these supposed offers are actually scams.
