Fragger & Al Rambone: iPhone Game Reviews

iPhone, Mobile

With so many games being released on the iTunes app store, it’s sometimes hard to keep up with which ones you should or shouldn’t be playing on your iPhone. Thankfully, we have the review round-up to show you the best games available on the app store, complete with summaries and reviews from all around the web.

Not to be confused with Frogger, Fragger takes the puzzle game genre and throws grenades at its feet with high-paced action and its gritty style. Much like Angry Birds, the idea is that you fling projectiles at your foes with high-precision. You must throw them with technique in mind, or you will likely miss your targets entirely.

In their review, TheAppEra said the game is “incredibly fun and totally gives the puzzle genre a new look and feel. It may take completing levels multiple tries, but it’s totally very worth it.”

Price: 99¢.

Al Rambone: Hussein in the Membrane

In a somewhat cliche fashion, you play as a super soldier in the middle east on his way to take out what we can only assume is Saddam Hussein in Al Rambone. The game plays much like a dual-stick shooter in that you have both fingers on the screen, with one to direct his fire and one to move him as necessary.

In their review. Slidetoplay said it “has enough personality to fill an atom bomb and still have plenty to spare, but the mushy controls and the overall low-budget feel of the game make it hard to recommend.”

Rating: 2 out of 4.

Price: $1.99.
