Foursquare Strikes Deal with VH1 and MTV

Location-Based, Mobile, Social

This seems like an odd combination: A small, growing service that does little more than track your location combined with two huge media companies that strive to bring you superior programming such as 16 and Pregnant and Flavor of Love. Well, somehow they managed to pull it off as the companies have inked a deal with each other to integrate with one another.

Foursquare will be used to track different MTV and VH1 celebrities where they will be able to Check-In and show all of their followers where they are. Using Foursquare, these celebrities will be able to find out which are their favorite clubs, shops and hangouts. The first participant will be Jersey Shore’s DJ Pauly D and many more will follow suit soon.
