Location-Based, Mobile, Social

Just a bit over a year ago, Foursquare launched to coincide with SXSW ’09 and has enjoyed much success and rapid growth since then. We now have some actual data on how that rapid growth has been going for Foursquare. The numbers and stats are a bit astounding to say the least.

As of now, Foursquare has over 500,000 users, 1.4 million venues and 15.5 million check-ins. Those numbers are pretty astounding considering the service has only been alive a little over a year.
