Foursquare Seeing Rapid Growth

Location-Based, Mobile

With SXSW ’09 being the launching point of Foursquare, it’s no surprise that it grew even more as the conference went on in 2010. Last Wednesday, the location-based app company confirmed that it had added 100,000 users in just 10 days. I found this to be pretty remarkable considering the service had been active just barely a year.

Also considering the service had only reported a few weeks ago that it had only 500,000 users. This is excellent news as I see it because the service will only get better and better as it grows. As it stands, there is little to none activity in my city. I can’t wait to “check-in” with some of these new users, can you?
