Mashable is reporting that the popular check-in app Foursquare has inked a number of new media partnerships with companies like Zagat, Warner Bros., and HBO.
Each partnership creates a unique experience on the iPhone app. For instance, the Zagat partnership, called Foodie Love, allows users to access the restaurant review site and add recommendations to their “to do lists.”
The HBO partnership program is entitled How to Make it in America, after the HBO series that is set to premiere on February 14. The partnership’s page seems to give users suggestions for activities based on those done by the characters within the show, and then allows you to check-off whether you’ve completed them as well.
Finally, the Warner Bros. partnership also focuses on recommendations and to-do list ideas, but this time around, those tips are centered on Valentine’s Day, to go along with publicizing the Warner Bros. film of the same name.
All of the above offer Foursquare badges for your participation, with the Warner Bros. badge requiring you to “visit and check-in on Foursquare at any of the locations on our Valentine’s Day inspired list of the most romantic places in New York City, San Francisco, Chicago, Los Angeles and Boston,” while the HBO badge is focused on culture and nightlife.
A secondary Foursquare deal has also been launched with ExploreChicago, which grants users three different badges for checking in at various locations within the city.
