No country on Earth is safe when an assassin’s wrath goes mobile. Ubisoft, issuing a sinister press release, has announced that Assassin’s Creed II Discovery has been released on the App Store, letting iPhone gamers perform their diabolical killings any time, anywhere. The game promises to deliver a new chapter in the Assassin’s Creed II story, sending the character to “15th-century Spain to rescue fellow assassins being held under the guise of the Inquisition, only to uncover a Templar plot to sail west and discover the New World.” Sailing and discovery?! Those fiends!
More intriguingly, Ubisoft claims that this game marks “the first in a series of gaming franchises, from hard core to casual games, that Ubisoft plans to develop and publish for the App Store.” Really? The first? Did Rabbids Go Phone not count?
