Frisky Misc

I did not just call beloved TriplePoint client Focus Home Interactive “parasites.” I said they just opened a pair of sites. Websites. Pages where you can read about a couple of new games they’ve got coming up. I don’t even get how you misunderstood me; this is a text-based medium. I literally spelled out what I meant for you.

But, yes, Focus Home Interactive has two new websites up and running: one for Yesterday, a dark-and-thrilling point-and-click adventure, and one for Confrontation, a role-playing strategy board-game adaptation. They’ve also issued several new screenshots for both titles, allowing you to get your fill of both battling heroes and burnt hobos.

From the pair of press releases…

Yesterday:

In New York City, beggars are disappearing one after another, only to be found burnt alive. Meanwhile, a Y-shaped scar forms in the palm of the hands of seemingly unrelated people. With the police and the media giving little attention to these events, Henry White, a young and rich heir dedicated to a charitable organization, and his friend Cooper, are the first to investigate these disappearances. They are two of the three playable characters in Yesterday, the third being none other than the enigmatic John Yesterday, who is dragged into this incredible story after his memory is completely wiped.

Confrontation:

You will have to astutely lead and develop your squad, in order to obtain victory. Develop the soldiers and creatures that will fight by your side, and establish sharp tactics to annihilate your enemies! Careful management of your units, their powers and skills, as well as clever use of your environment will get you through near-death situations and lead you to epic victory!

Now, if you’re still upset about the whole “parasites” thing, I suppose we might get into a confrontation, but I got over all of that yesterday.
