Flutter Looks to Spruce Up Facebook

If you’re looking to get off the farm and get in touch with nature, New Zealand based developer Runaway will have something coming for you in May. Flutter is the company’s upcoming Facebook game that instantly reminds you of the PlayStation 3′s fantastically original Flower.

Instead of controlling a flower petal, however, you’ll take flight as a butterfly pollinating flowers. Like all other Facebook games, it will have its share of social networking features and trappings: working with friends and an in-game currency (“honey dust”), but the setting is definitely quite refreshing for the space.Flutter will also feature an in-game, customizable “home base” where players will be able to select their specific butterfly that they want to take on the different missions throughout the game.

As a big fan of Flower, I’m definitely interested in seeing what this little game will have to offer. If you want to see the game in action, Runaway has posted the following gameplay video:
