Fishville, Social

Over on the FishVille fan page, Zynga has unveiled a new decorative theme now available in the game:

“NEW MYSTICAL AZTEC ENVIRONMENT! An exciting and mysterious Aztec environment is here! The Mystic Ruins environment is sure to catch eyes and delight visitors! Pair this with the new Aztec Clearing gravel to create a mystical atmosphere that must be seen to be believed! Play now!”

The Aztec theme incorporates more than just a new background and gravel set (although they are available for 10 and 5 Sand Dollars, respectively), as there are 13 new decorations available to purchase, including stone figures, shields, urns, and masks (along with other ancient artifacts), as well as two plant options – a Tranquil Palm and a Jungle Bush.

Most items are available even to lower level players, but if you don’t have the coins on hand to purchase them (the cheapest item for players under level 13 is still a whopping 50,000 coins), there are four new free gifts that tie into this theme that anyone, regardless of level or pocketbook, can own.

A new glyph feature replaces the collectible planets by offering 8 glyphs to collect in all, while a new antique item, the Precious Statue, will allow you to earn coins if you let it age long enough to sell it at its peak value.

An Eagle Warrior is now available to build, and you can send your friends 7 piece bundles to help them accomplish the task, while FishVille traditionalists, who enjoy nothing better than simply raising fish and selling them, will enjoy the new Harlequin Tuskfish, so long as they receive it as a gift before it expires from the page in five days.

Head over to the game’s page to begin your own celebration of Aztec culture within your underwater world.
