Thursday marked the launch of FirstPlay in the UK, a subscription based interactive show. FirstPlay offers HD video previews, reviews, PSN and PlayStation Minis rundowns, upcoming game screenshots, and exclusive downloadable content. Voice acting is provided by Lucy Porter, English actress and comedian.

This week’s episode offers a PS3 FirstPlay theme and exclusive parachute for Just Cause 2, by way of downloads. Subscribers also have access to reviews covering Burnout Paradise Complete Edition, God of War III, and Peggle, as well as previews for Uncharted: Eye of Indra and FIFA 10 World Cup. Games featured in the screenshot gallery included Prince of Persia The Forgotten Sands, Red Dead Redemption, and Ghost Recon Future Soldier. Coming next week, users can look forward to Split/Second: Velocity, and the new shooter Vanquish.

Users can purchase 3 month subscriptions to FirstPlay for £8.99, or purchase single episodes for 99p. Currently FirstPlay is only available in the UK, but according to Edge, launches in select European and PAL territories are scheduled for later this year.
