FarmVille is indisputably the largest and well-known Facebook game out today. And boy, is it showing. According to a report by SocialTimes, Farmville developer Zynga has entered into a partnership with vegetable brand Green Giant to offer 15 FarmVille cash to anyone who purchases Green Giant vegetables.
This marks an interesting point for Zynga and hell, for Green Giant. Is Zynga’s farming game big enough to make someone change the brand of vegetables they buy simply for some additional FarmVille cash? If so, what kind of other partnerships can Zynga enter into to leverage the power and draw of their game to real-world products?
