What are the PetVille Movie Awards? A new gift-giving promotion in PetVille, to get players’ pets red carpet ready for the Oscars.

How does it work? Similar to the PetVille Valentines, the Movie Awards have taken over the free gifts section, and PetVille players have a new Fame -O- Meter to track how famous their pets have become. Collect Movie Awards gifts to earn prizes, and you could win a deluxe mystery prize on PetVille Movie Awards day, March 8th.

You can send and receive Movie Awards nominations in 5 categories to make your pet feel like the biggest movie star on the block. Players can also collect 5 limited-edition Movie Tickets, AND the PetVille Movie Awards collection include a Star Wars-themed giftable, called the Space Struggles Laser Sword (aka PetVille Light Saber). May the force be with you!

Click on the Free Gifts tab to send Movie Award gifts to your friends in PetVille today. You have 8 more days to send and receive Movie Awards gifts (until this Sunday, March 7, when the Academy Awards air on ABC at 8pm EST / 5pm PST).

• Lifetime Friendship Award

To keep track of your Movie Awards nominations and buzz, click on the star symbol above your pet’s head anywhere in the game. There you’ll find your pet’s Fame -O- Meter, which ranges includes 4 levels of famousness: Real Nobody, “B” Movie, “A” List, and Super Star! Collect as many movie tickets, laser swords and nominations as you can to win special Movie Awards bonus prizes.

Bonus prizes for completing Movie Award collections:

• Accept each of the 5 movie tickets to win a movie poster set for your pet’s room
• Accept 12 nominations to win a Best Pet Award statue
• Accept 18 laser swords to win a Laser Sword for your pet to carry

Any bonus prizes earned will be put into your pet’s storage and wardrobe for easy access. Hurry up and ask your friends to send you free Movie Awards gifts so you can collect them all and earn the bonus prizes before the deadline, March 7.
