Facebook, Social

facebook-iconLast week Facebook told the world they had surpassed 350 million users globally, but didn’t give specifics on domestic usage of the popular social network. Well, now we know from Inside Facebook’s investigation (of ad tools on the site), that Facebook has over 100 million active monthly users in the United States. (That’s one third of the entire US population!)

You can see a more in-depth breakdown of US Facebook user demographics on Inside Facebook – complete with color-coded charts and all. It’s also interesting to note that the UK and Turkey come in second and third (respectively) as most active social networkers on Facebook. The United Kingdom has 23.2 million monthly active users, and Turkey has 16.5 million.
