Facebook More Popular Than Google; Games are to Blame

Facebook, FarmVille, Social

Facebook has only gone straight up in popularity since they began allowing games to invade the service. Now, not only is it the most popular social site on the net but is quickly surpassing Google which would have seemed impossible just a few years ago.

Just two weeks ago, Facebook surpassed Google when it nabbed 7.07 % of all internet traffic while Google nabbed a still huge 7.03%. While Facebook has been more popular than Google before, this is the first time it has sustained its lead for a week. With over 80 million players monthly in Farmville and even more playing other games, it makes sense that Facebook will quickly become the most popular site on the internet.
