A couple of interesting happenings, well… happened in the realm of Facebook games yesterday. First, Playfish added a new set of doors to Hotel City, with said update being interesting due to the fact that we as players view a cross-section of our hotel rooms, which would then visually not appear to need doors. Next, after a long mysterious, we finally discovered who the developer behind the up-and-coming Facebook game Nightclub City is.
Open a New Door of Possibility in Hotel City
As we said in our opener, Hotel City saw the release of some new doors this week. The doors technically function as wall art, since there really isn’t a need for doors in your rooms, thanks to the cross-section we are shown as we play.
Along with these doors, which range in price from 5,000 to 6,000 coins, as seen above, the game has been given quite a few new items, like new wallpaper and flooring options, two new beds, new chairs and sofas, a new lamp and even an animated aquarium, which will set you back 5 Playfish Cash.

Booyah Announces Itself As NightClub City Developer
Back in April, Nightclub City launched and immediately started to grow. While there are other nightclub simulation games now available on the site, Nightclub City arguably does what it does the best. However, for the longest time, the game was without an announced developer. That all has changed now, however, as Booyah has publicly announced the game via their blog.
If the name Booyah doesn’t sound familiar, perhaps you’ll be familiar with a little iPhone app called MyTown, a location-based game of sorts that is played by over 2.5 million people.
It seems a bit odd, combining a location based iPhone game with a nightclub themed Facebook game, but Booyah explains the development of Nightclub City as such:
“With MyTown’s success on the iOS Platform, we wanted to expand our product offerings to players across the most relevant platforms, such as Facebook. We created Nightclub City because we know that in order to be the leader in next-generation entertainment, we must be at the forefront of the convergence of mobile and web platforms.”
