Casual, Console

Welcome to another installment of Eye Candy for the Casual Gamer, a feature here on Frisky Mongoose that shows off new trailers, screenshots and the like, all with a focus on the casual gaming world. In this installment, we see the release of the official Comic Con trailer for Kung-Fu LIVE, and a set of new screenshots for Konami’s Karaoke Revolution Glee on the Wii.

Virtual Air Guitar Company Releases Trailer for Kung-Fu LIVE

In keeping with its presence at Comic Con, Virtual Air Guitar Company (the Helsinki-based video game developer) has released a new trailer for their upcoming Kung-Fu LIVE, which will be released on the PlayStation Network this fall.

Back in May, we brought you news concerning the game’s announcement. As we told you then, the game utilizes the PlayStation Eye to create a controller-free fighting game that places players inside the action as the hero, rather than placing them in control of some arbitrary character.

The game allows players to pull off otherwise impossible acrobatic and fighting moves, and will provide “unique multiplayer components” for those who wish to attack their friends, even if it is only virtually.

Here’s the latest trailer for the game. We’ll be sure to bring you more news about Kung-Fu LIVE as we get closer to the game’s launch.

Konami Releases First Screens for Karaoke Revolution Glee

Konami has released the first set of screenshots for the newest installment in the Karaoke Revolution franchise, Karaoke Revolution Glee, which features licensed music and content from the FOX television show Glee.

This is Glee’s first video game, and it will see gamers belting out the game’s 35 songs, all from the television series. Karaoke Revolution Glee will utilize the franchise’s proprietary voice recognition technology, which helps the game better score users’ pitch and rhythm.

The game is a Nintendo Wii exclusive, and looks to hit store shelves sometime this fall. These first screenshots feature Rachel Berry and the rest of the Glee cast singing “Somebody to Love.” Check them out below.
