Frisky Misc

Social game developer Playdom and sports broadcaster ESPN have forged a two-year alliance to create Facebook social games.

It is unclear at this time what types of games they are planning to make (outside of the fact that the games will have something to do with sports). One of the games in the partnership has had scant details released, though it will be based on players being able to build their own college franchise.

As a pretty big sports fan, I’m pretty excited to see what kind of games could come out of the partnership between the two companies. Unfortunately, given that ESPN doesn’t have the NHL license, I might have to wait for a good hockey-theme application.
