Casual, Social

If you didn’t believe that EA had no interest in dropping Tiger Woods before, now there should be no doubt in your mind. Alongside Tiger’s official return to professional golf, EA has launched Tiger Woods PGA Tour Online which is played right in your web browser.

While the new version of Tiger Woods Golf may not have all of the features of the major console versions, it makes up for in simplicity and social features. The 3D graphics are adequate and it’s extremely accessible as it’s played right on your web browser.

I see this move to more casual, social games as a big and smart step for EA. Not only will the whole Tiger Woods scandal blow over in a few years but offering an alternative, dumbed down version for free in your web browser is also a smart move.
