Facebook, Social

As reported by Inside Social Games, Electronic Arts has brought its casual game portal Pogo to Facebook. The Pogo app is in a beta form, and it offers 10 of the 184 games found on Pogo.com proper. Luckily, the games that are included are some of the most popular ones on the site, including Poppit!, Word Whomp, Turbo 21, and Boggle Bash.

When you log into the app, you’ll have to create a username, and choose the gender of your avatar. Afterward, you’ll receive 1,000 free tokens. Tokens serve as a sort of bragging right, for those not familiar with Pogo.com itself. You earn tokens for playing games – the more points you score in a game, the more tokens you typically earn.

After you choose a game, you’ll see that it appears very much like it would on the site’s main page, with a chat room along the right hand side of the app, and the gameplay area at the left. An additional area is found along the bottom of the screen that allows you to invite friends into the game, and track your scores among them.

You can sync your Pogo.com and Facebook profiles using the links at the top of the app, and can easily switch between the 10 different games by clicking on their icons in the bar at the top of the screen.

Head over to the Pogo Games Facebook page if you’d like to try the app out for yourself.
