EA Announces New Sims and Skate-It Games for iPhone

iPhone, Mobile

EA seems to have really taken to the iPhone lately, with many entries in popular franchises appearing on the platform quite frequently. Yesterday, it was revealed that EA is planning two more games; one in the hugely popular Sims franchise and another catered more towards the virtual skating fanatic.

The Sims 3: World Adventures is an expansion to the existing Sims 3 on the platform with 52 new goals to achieve, four new mini-games plus new personas, careers and quests. Do not fear, your existing characters can transfer between the two games if you happen to grow attached to a few of them.

Skate It has its roots on Nintendo’s Wii, and the iPhone game seems to keep most of the features that were seen in the Wii version. A career mode, major customization options, a film capture feature and support for custom soundtracks thrown in as well. Pricing has yet to be seen but there is a release date given of May 2010 so the wait won’t be too long.
