Frisky Misc

Remember taking little LEGO pieces and parts and creating what your hearts desired? Well, the developers at Triplepoint client the LEGO Group, and developer NetDevil are looking to bring those little memories back with LEGO Universe for the PC and Mac later this year.

As Mashable points out, LEGO Universe is entirely story based and challenges gamers to take on their imagination in order to fight the Maelstrom that brings evil to this universe. As in other MMO’s, the majority of your time will be spent completing quests and collecting loot. However, the unique difference here is that you do not gain experience or levels; rather, your stats are determined by the equipment you are wearing at the time.

The building is where Universe really shines in that allows you to create and manage different animations as if you were creating new buildings, animals or whatever your imaginative heart desires. Not only that, but you can also invite plenty of your virtual friends to check out your awesome creations at any point.

So, have you ever wanted to go crazy and create what you want with virtual legos? Now you shall have your chance at last. LEGO Universe launches on October 26th for $39.99 on Mac and PC. The initial package will come with a free 30 day subscription and will cost $9.99/month after.  Those who preorder will be given early access to the game starting October 12th.
