Dr. Seuss eBooks Come to iPad

iPad

In late February, we reported on the release of two Dr. Seuss books as apps on the iPhone. Now, those same too apps (The Cat in the Hat and Dr. Seuss’ ABC), along with How the Grinch Stole Christmas have been updated to be compatible on the iPad.

As a reminder, these eBooks offer multiple different options when it comes to reading them. For the especially young, you can set the books on automatic, and the app will both read the words, and turn the virtual pages. Another mode lets you read the book entirely on your own, including turning your own pages, and a final mode combines the two, letting the app read the words out loud, but you control the pages.

For added interactivity, children can tap on words and objects and the app will show them the name of the item (like a ball) and will read the word aloud.

Do you plan on picking up any of these apps for your children?
