Digital Chocolate Reaches One Million Players on Facebook

Facebook, Social

As reported by Games.com, Digital Chocolate’s two Facebook games, MMA Pro Fighter and NanoTowns have now surpassed 1 million monthly active players. While that figure might be dwarfed by more the most popular Facebook titles (FarmVille, Cafe World…), it is definitely nothing to be ashamed of.

Digital Chocolate’s Trip Hawkins did express one emotion though – one of surprise. Via a recent blog post, Hawkins stated that he was “a bit surprised” by the fact that the two games reached a total of 1 million players so quickly.

Regardless of a game’s social features, every single game released on Facebook won’t hit a million players, so that’s saying something about the company’s two offerings. MMA Pro Fighter currently sits at 938,000+ monthly active users (it has grown to that number since just last December when it launched), while NanoTowns can claim 229,000+ monthly active users – a lesser figure, to be sure, but equally impressive considering that the game only launched this month.

Head over to either the MMA Pro Fighter page, or the NanoTowns page on Facebook to learn more information about these games, or to add to that 1 million+ figure.
