As we told you earlier this week, Triplepoint client WeMade Entertainment has now launched the open beta for Digimon Battle, the first online multiplayer game based on the incredibly popular television series. In fact, the game’s story is based off that found in the show’s first four seasons.
Players take on the role of a Digimon Tamer, who, along with their chosen Digimon, must protect the Earth and the Digital World from evil Digimon. The game has RPG elements that see your character and Digimon leveling up after battles, but in this open beta, there is a level cap set at level 50.
“Digimon fans have been waiting for a game that provides exciting, interactive hands-on battling and we are proud to deliver,” said Kevin Seo, CEO of WeMade, via a company press release. “The beta is only the beginning. We will have many new content updates in the coming months that will add new Digivolution systems, Digimon classes, maps and the action-packed Battle Mode where players can battle each other to determine the best fighters.”
To celebrate the open beta, three new promotions are running within the game, including one for perfect attendance (logging in every day of a set period). For more information about these promotions, or the game in general, head over to the Digimon Battle website.
