Casual, Country Story, Facebook, Social

Yee-haw! Now this here’s a real Country Story, what with this week’s update from Playfish lettin’ us turn our farms into Western-type ranches. That’s just for starters, though, so hang onto yer hats!

First of all, seems Playfish wants to do the neighborly thing for victims of the Haiti earthquake. If all of us can come together and donate to the relief effort, there’s a special prize in it for us!

You’ll see this friendly little reminder when you wake up to feed the chickens:

Speaking of money, Country Story will let you buy the stuff direct now, allowing you to buy in-game coins through direct payment — you don’t have to buy Playfish Cash and then convert it. Of course, you still can convert it, which is a good thing, because they’ve also started up the “My Farm Theme Competition,” a photo contest worth 2000 in Playfish Cash (which would cost you roughly $300US to purchase)! Pick a theme for your farm, decorate it in said theme, take a photo of it with the new camera tool, and cross your fingers. Details are here.

There are also a few quest changes, allowing you to defer your rewards for later if you don’t feel like collecting immediately upon completion. Whew! That’s a lot of updates. I feel like I’m forgetting something.

Oh, right, the Western items. Yee-haw! There.
