Comcast Reveals Xfinity Remote iPad App

Yesterday at The Cable Show event, Comcast’s CEO Brian Roberts demonstrated and displayed a new app currently in prototype, the Xfinity Remote. As of now, the app only allows you to control television programs and not actually watch them on the device but it seems to be quite an improvement over the current iPhone offering.

The app, as shown in the below video, features remote DVR scheduling and an interesting feature that allows you to invite friends to watch live TV with you provided they have Comcast, an iPad and this app. The interface looks very neat and could possibly replace the interface seen currently on the box itself.
