For those unfamiliar with game publisher Ohai, , they brought the world City of Eternals, a dark and gloomy vampire-themed MMO / Facebook game that combines traditional gameplay experiences with social interaction and a virtual item system found in most other Facebook games. To put it simply, the game can be looked at as a loosely structured combination of World of Warcraft and FarmVille or Mafia Wars.
Ohai is set to do a complete 180 with their next game however, at least in terms of theme, as Games.com recently spoke with Ohai’s CEO Susan Wu about the company’s next project, codenamed Project Unicorn Parade.
If the name doesn’t make it immediately clear, Project Unicorn Parade will be focused on themes like “nurturing and empathy,” while still retaining the MMO-style gameplay the company is familiar with. Apparently the game will be visually striking as Wu’s love for crafts, specifically felt crafts, inspired the look of the game.
Ohai’s mascot Batty will be making an appearance in Project Unicorn Parade, albeit in a much friendly form than his City of Eternals alter-ego, so that he may fit in with the game’s bright color palette and gentler theme.
We look forward to hearing more information about what exact direction Project Unicorn Parade will take in the coming weeks – hopefully you do too.
