Cartoon Network’s FusionFall Going Free-to-Play Next Month

Thu, Mar 25, 2010

Cartoon Network’s FusionFall launched in January of 2009. The casual MMO has been based around the concept of bringing together content from multiple Cartoon Network shows (Adventure Time with Finn & Jake, Generator Rex, Symbionic Titan, and Ben 10: Ultimate Alien, as examples) into one intuitive package that could be experienced by paying a monthly fee.

However, as reported by Virtual Worlds News, next month the game will become completely free-to-play. After April 19, all of the game’s previously released content will be available without a subscription. Those who had paid up their subscriptions to last longer than April 19 will receive a refund.

Whether or not FusionFall will begin offering an a la carte system for premium items and a virtual currency has yet to be revealed.
