iPhone, Mobile

Capcom announced in a statement that they will be supporting OpenFeint in their games’ leaderboards. The statement reads:

“Capcom Interactive has been evaluating the online mobile gaming space for quite some time now and we think that OpenFeint has a great social games platform,” said Manabu Seko, Head of Americas and EMEA Studio, Capcom Interactive, Inc. “We look forward to taking advantage of OpenFeint’s social, gaming and marketing features to reach their 21 million players.”

This is exciting news for anyone who loves the Capcom iPhone games as this means you’ll be able to play their games and share your high scores with friends. Along with leaderboard support, these games will also appear on the OpenFeint Spotlight program meaning that you will be able to access them for two weeks for free.

It’s uncertain when these games will receive the OpenFeint support but we should expect it soon. This is excellent news for OpenFeint to receive support from such a well-respected developer such as Capcom.
