Hotel City developer Playfish has been hard at work lately, adding both new commercial rooms and new decorations to the hotel simulation game. In today’s case, we see the launch of a new commercial room in the form of a Candy Shop, and the release of some new decorative items, all in a very cute and pink theme.
New Candy Shop Fixes Any Sweet Tooth
The new Candy Shop is a commercial, pre-designed room that can be found under the Commercial Rooms section of the game’s Build Menu. It costs 30,000 coins to add to your Hotel, but earns quite a bit in profit in return.
That is, for every hour that the room is active (it would of course lie dormant while your Hotel is closed due to you having not started a shift), it will earn you 100 coins and 100 Hotel Points, the game’s basic currency.
New Decorative Items Add a More Than a Splash of Pink to the Game
If you’re into the color pink, or know someone who is, be sure to head over (or send your friends over) to the game’s store now, as Playfish has unleashed a slew of pink items into most sections of the game’s store. You can find three new kinds of pink and heart-themed wallpaper, a pink color-changing tile floor, two chairs shaped like hearts, a set of pink balloons, and a large pink bow.
There are some big items available to purchase, including a Cherrywood Chest, and Cutiepie Storage dresser, and even a painting of a rainbow, complete with a pink frame, that animates, turning from daytime to nighttime every few seconds.
These items are available for both coins and Playfish Cash, depending on the complexity of the item you’re wishing to purchase. That is, the stationary items like the chairs and “large items” seen above are available for standard coins, while the animated items cost Playfish Cash.
With all of these pink items, you’d think that Valentine’s Day had come early in the game. If that sounds like an exciting prospect to you, make sure to head over to the game’s store to purchase any of these new items soon.
