BizBash is a place where events and the planning of those events are analyzed, reported, and shared. DoubleDutch, a TriplePoint client, is a place where event managers set up tools to drive social engagement and feedback during the events they’ve planned. If only we could get those crazy kids together! Well, we can’t, but that’s only because they beat us to it: in a bold new step for event-socializing, BizBash is going to bring DoubleDutch’s social event app on board for their IdeaFest conferences. If you’re going to IdeaFest South Florida or IdeaFest Los Angeles, there’s now a custom app you can get that will manage all of your event details — session scheduling, venue maps, keeping up with other attendees in an event-specific social feed.
This shouldn’t come as a terrible surprise to anyone who’s been on the convention circuit. If you’re there to do business, your nose is going to be in your phone 99% of the time anyway — why wouldn’t you just want all of your agendas and info there, instead of also trying to flip through the booklet they give you at the door? Mobilize and interactive-ize that nonsense, I say. From the press release:
DoubleDutch and BizBash are at the forefront of an exploding market, with North American brands expected to report a 7.8 percent spending increase in event and experiential marketing in 2012 – more than double the growth-rate of the year prior. This trend is driven by an intensifying focus on interactive attendee experiences and a desire to drive sales and awareness, which the DoubleDutch-Bizbash partnership is primed to deliver to IdeaFest attendees and exhibitors.
BizBash’s IdeaFest conferences in South Florida on April 10, 2013 and in LA on June 19, 2013 will bring together the top creative minds in the events industry to share best practices for meetings and conferences of all types. With the dedicated BizBash apps developed by DoubleDutch, thousands of attendees at this year’s events can check-in to sessions during the Event Innovation Forum, like and comment on speakers from the Event Leadership Institute Workshop Series, compete for the top spot on the app leaderboard, and interact digitally with a wealth of exhibitors.
I hereby declare this partnership to be known as DoubleBash, because the alternative is BizDutch, and unless you are doing business in the Netherlands that doesn’t really fit.
