We have a few excellent stories today involving big hitters in the industry, and may benefit you if you are into that kind of thing. Big Fish Games is holding a super secret, super awesome sale that we have all the details of, and Microsoft has begun allowing anyone to sign up for the new Xbox 360 Dashboard Preview Program.

We have the details on Big Fish Games’ Super Secret Sale, and it’s only going to be available until tonight at Midnight PST. The deal is that you can grab any game you want on their service for just $4.99. This deal does not include collector’s editions, however.

If you’d like to check out the sale, I wouldn’t delay in heading over to Big Fish Games’ site right now to take advantage. Like I said, the deal is only available until Midnight. To take advantage, simply add any game to your cart (no collector’s editions) and add the code TOPSECRET to the promo code form. This will apply the discount making any game purchase just $4.99.

Microsoft’s New Xbox Live Update Preview Program

On Major Nelson’s blog this morning, he announced a brand new Xbox Live Dashboard Update Preview Program, allowing just about anyone access to the new features coming in this fall’s update a little bit early. It appears anyone who signed up is accepted instantly, so you’ll only have to wait for the early update to hit for you to get it.

How to apply from Major Nelson’s blog:

you’ll need to visit the Microsoft Connect site from this link and sign in with your Windows LIVE ID that is connected to your Xbox LIVE Gamertag.  Once you complete the survey that is presented to you, the Connect site will notify you immediately if you’ve been accepted.  A couple of points before you head off to register:

  • We’re looking for multiple thousands of participants, so your chances of making it in are good.
  • This is not for Kinect. You will not be receiving a Kinect sensor if you are chosen to participate.
  • This opportunity is open to all Xbox LIVE Members in regions where Xbox LIVE is available.
  • To avoid any problems, read the survey carefully and double check all the information your provide.
  • While both Xbox LIVE Gold and Silver members can sign up, Priority will be given to Gold members in the selection process.

Well, there you have it folks. If you are at all interested in applying, head over to the Microsoft Connect page where you’ll need to fill out a bit of information before signing up.
