The new features we previewed last week for Bejeweled Blitz are scheduled to go live today! Only… they’re not quite ready yet. Popcap’s insanely addictive Facebook game is temporarily down while the new features are being added to the regular game, and Popcap is doubtlessly seeing a lot of us eagerly mashing the “refresh” button on our browsers. They feel just awful about this downtime, and so by way of apology, they are selling the full version of Bejeweled 2 at 50% off.

“Click below to get a special 50% discount on Bejeweled 2 while you wait for your Blitz Fix,” says the promo site. “It’s our way of saying thanks for your patience!”

I’ll let it slide just this once, Bejeweled Blitz. But the next time you hold out on me like this, I will cut you.
