Fishing King from Gameloft allows players to become a master fisherman(woman) all from the familiar surroundings of their iPhone. The game contains 5 different 3D locations, including the Bahamas, Amazon River, and the Waikato River in New Zealand, and each of these locations are split into various fishing spots, for a total of 15 locations where you can cast your line.
According to Slide to Play, as you play through these locations, you’ll compete in timed tournaments or complete various missions asking for a certain amount of each fish.
As we can learn from the game’s description in iTunes, there are different fish to be found in each location, with 33 species available to catch in all. To complete your virtual collection, you’ll need to use the different gear available in your tackle box, including various rods and lures, with more items being available to purchase with the money you earn from completing missions.
Fishing King provides a fishing encyclopedia of sorts, letting you learn about the fish that you catch, and it contains an underwater camera mode that helps you catch fish, as well as allowing you to simply view the fish swimming around at peace. With your Gameloft LIVE! Profile, you can earn achievements in the game, and show off your progress to others via the dedicated website.
Fishing Kings is currently available on iTunes for $2.99. If you’re interested in downloading it, head over to ![]()
