Frontierville, Social

Zynga has never been one to let a holiday, no matter how trivial it might seem, slip by them, and they have made that apparent yet again with the release of an entire event in FrontierVille surrounding Labor Day. The Labor Day Extravaganza, as it’s being called, offers a new collection for players to complete, along with new “Back to School” missions that can be purchased from the market.

The new collection is called, appropriately enough, the Labor Day Collection, and it asks you to find give new school themed items: Book Strap, School Bell, Paddle, Wormy Apple, and Globe. For completing the collection, you’ll receive a free School Wagon, which is like a school bus, in that is it yellow and transports children.

The most exciting part of the Labor Day event, however, is the addition of a new set of “Back to School” missions. This mission set is available to purchase from the store for 5,000 coins, but it can only be purchased until September 8. The quest set will ultimately reward users with a special dunce cap as a decoration, but only if they can complete all of the quests before September 10 when they expire.

The Back to School missions begin with “Finish the Farm Chores,” a mission that contains three steps: Harvest 10 Pumpkins, Plant Ten Fruit Trees, and Sell Ten Adult Goats. While harvesting pumpkins is a breeze, adult goats will take some time to grow and fruit trees will cost quite a few coins to purchase, unless you receive them as gifts from friends. That being the case, you’ll want to make sure to get started on that mission as quickly as possible so as to have time to finish the three that come after it.

While information about the other three quests is still a bit sketchy, it is our understanding that the second quest will ask you to water or harvest 15 Apple trees, feed 15 pigs, and collect ten County Fair tickets (we’re assuming that these tickets will come from neighbors via wall posts, as has been the case in the past).

The third mission asks you to visit 10 neighbors, buy one swimming hold, and collect the Daily Bonus from your Schoolhouse (just once).

Finally, the fourth mission will apparently require us to buy a Pump Well, have 25 cloth, and accumulate ten soaps (another neighbor gift exchange, we assume).

Head over to the game’s page on Facebook to get started on these missions while they are still available.

such a helpful topic! Overall the entire mission is very simple and can be completed within a few hours. I started it late last night and finished it this morning. Only because of the delay of waiting 7 1/2 hours for more county fair tickets.

If you don’t have adult goats, you can have your neighbors tend to your “unready goats” and afterward immediately feeding them before the next neighbor tends to them, this will speed up the growing process. You can grow new born goats into adults within an hour if you have neighbors who are willing to participate. It involves communication, time, and patience.

how can i finish a school mission if i dont have enough horseshoes to avail my last mission …is it i cannot complete my labor day collection too? thanks…

Unfortunately, since the missions expired, you won’t be able to finish them, or receive the Dunce Cap. The school house lessons were of limited time availability as well, so they are now gone as well.

The Labor Day collection contained items unrelated to the school house missions. The apple, for instance, could be found by harvesting from Apple Trees, while others could be found when tending to neighbors’ Potatoes. The school missions are no longer available to finish, regardless of how many Horseshoes you have.
