According to Japan-o-phile site Siliconera, the image below describes how popular game developer and publisher Atlus plans to integrate some of its gaming properties into social networks by the end of their fiscal year, August 31 2010. The funnel image is part of an interim report recently released by Index Holdings, Atlus’ parent company. Based on Siliconera’s translation, the image says “the funnel yields high quality casual games for social network services and portal sites.” It also includes Atlus’ “know-how…quality and confidence”, as well as yet unidentified Atlus intellectual properties.
There has been no information on what form these games will take, or whether they will be available in America, but we can cross our fingers and hope. It would be great to see Shin Megami Tensei, Trauma Center, or Etrian Odyssey as Facebook games.
