Al Warms is no stranger to Yahoo considering that he has previously sold Participate Media to them in 2007. Appolicious is a social network devoted to creating a discovery and conversation around the app market.
Appolicious will now carry Yahoo’s name and branding on the site and will be referenced in Yahoo’s News aggregator. Warms commented in an interview with BoomTown: “I think it is a pretty huge deal in what it means to where apps have gotten in such a short period of time, we want to make these apps relevant for Yahoo users.”
Appolicious’ current aim is to be a more advanced mobile apps site in providing detailed reviews, recommendations, organization and the combination of several app platforms. The site currently supports Android, iPhone and iPad with support for BlackBerry coming soon.
