Apple Has Already Sold Hundreds of Thousands of iPads

Tue, Mar 23, 2010

According to the Wall Street Journal (as reported by Digital Media Wire), Apple has already sold “hundreds of thousands” of their upcoming iPad tablet computer through the company’s pre-order program.

This announcement comes paired with the postponement of bundled TV subscriptions, due to the lack of support from networks, who are reluctant to change their prices from $1.99 and $2.99 per single television show, to Apple’s preferred price of $0.99.

Apple hasn’t given up all hope, however, as the report indicates that the company is hoping that it can capture some 99 cent deals with some providers before the tablet’s launch next month.
