Apple Flubs iPad Keyboard Dock?

iPad, Mobile

According to MediaBistro, someone really wasn’t thinking correctly at Apple when they designed the iPad’s shiny new keyboard dock. The dock starts at $69 and mimics the styling of the current bluetooth keyboard Apple sells.  The keyboard dock adds some additional iPad specific keys and an audio-out jack for easy listening while using it. Despite these great features of the dock, the gripes are as follows:

  • Portability – The dock is one solid piece, nothing is bendable or foldable about it. This makes it not so portable if you wanted to throw it in a purse or compact backpack.
  • No A/C adapter included
  • An iPad in the official Apple case will not fit in the dock.

Sounds like some issues that could be resolved in a new revision but certainly shows some interesting oversights.
