AndroidAppADay: URL Pusher

Android, Mobile

Ever got stuck in a situation where you wanted to take a web page with you on the go but didn’t want to go through the sometimes messy process of figuring out how to get the page on to your phone? Perhaps you just wanted to take a YouTube video a friend sent you and watch it on your phone? URL Pusher allows you to do these exact things quick and seamlessly.

URL Pusher works very simply: Simply download the app and launch it. At that point, the app will display a letter combination. On your desktop, load the URL Pusher site and type in the code seen on your phone. There, you’re done. Now if you want to send a web address to your phone, just go to the URL Pusher site, paste the URL and it is instantly transmitted to your phone.

What makes this app especially nice is that the app doesn’t even need to be running for it to work. An optional feature allows the app to run as a service just simply waiting for you to ‘push’ a web address to it. Very nice.

URL Pusher is currently available on the Android Market.
